A Kodak commercial at age six in Los Angeles, California introduced Ramey to her professional acting and singing career that included other commercials, a game show and work in various TV dramas, film and theater productions.
After attending a magnet school for the performing arts in Hollywood, Ramey graduated at age 15 and moved out on her own to work in film production. Since music remained her passion, she gave her singing a professional shot. After being part of several girl groups, a demo deal with Elektra and many recordings, Ramey soon decided to broaden her knowledge of music by moving to Puerto Rico to absorb the Latin rhythms and language, and then moved on to sing and star in various shows in Las Vegas.
Eager to learn more about the film industry, she went to New York to study film production and was hired to run a commercials production office, which led to her being hired by Ricky Martin to work as Assistant Production Manager of his "Livin' La Vida Loca" tour. Four months later, the female backup singer suddenly left the show so Ramey was thrown into the replacement singer auditions and was hired a few hours later. Her life changed dramatically at that point. With only four days to learn the entire show (lyrics, a duet with Ricky Martin, costume changes, choreography, staging, etc.), she was swept into a whirlwind of excitement and craziness. She toured in this role for a couple of years before returning to Las Vegas to produce and sing in a Latin-flavor musical with the male backup singer from La Vida Loca.
Flamenco music drew her to Madrid, Spain and while there, she was assigned to sing in Paulina Rubio's promo tour.
She now lives a busy life in Madrid which includes regular performances with her own two bands, recordings with other artists and of commercial jingles, a gospel choir, a musical, performances on TeleMadrid, and is forming a project featuring a mix of flamenco and blues. She occasionally commutes to the U.S to sing in other venues.
